Inspired by this thread: http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt143007.html

I would say that my diet is red, with some white. I love berries, tomatoes, beef, pork. I like beans and cheese as well. I'll eat quite a bit of bread and pasta as a filler, but what I really love is fruit and meat. I'm not keen on green vegetables.

I have low energy levels, but a decent (for me) mood. I also have a good immune system. When I ate mostly white foods (when I was vegetarian) I had fluctuating energy levels, and worse mood. I think if I had more green in my diet, I would have better energy levels and mood, but I don't know if I could ever get over the taste. I've added a lot of spinach to my diet, but that's the only 'green' thing I like the taste of. Basically, I like all the rich tasting foods and I don't like to eat anything bland. Also, the amount of garlic and onions I eat ensures I must always carry breath mints.

EDIT: I've entered two options for green and red/red and green, which is the same thing, sorry

On a typical day, I would eat:

oatmeal
broccoli
soy bacon
cheese
apple
two random dessert items
coffee
toast
tuna
banana

So I don't think that my diet is particularly horrible. Today was a weird day, though. I had two cups of coffee, french toast, a Mcdonald's Southwestern salad with no chicken and no dressing, and some M&Ms. My family went on a long walk today, and my diet usually gets screwed up on days when I do something out of the norm.

I have a pattern to my eating, but week ends throw me off, not such a set schedule. I tend to eat things that are easy to get, I don't really like eating, so it's a balance of quick and tasty. I don't have any color that I like better, but I did go out to dinner with my mom a while back to Long John Silvers, I noticed the whole meal was the same brown color. It really creeped me out.

I eat a lot of dark bread and cereals, vegetables and fruits and dairy products. I avoid every fast food and sweets. I'm a picky eater, but my diet is really colourful.

Not at all. It's less fattening/protein-heavy than mine.

Mine is:

coffee
banana
strawberries
5 bean chilli on tortilla
pepper steak with onions
pomegranate juice
cheese on toast
hot chocolate

I'll also eat curries, chorizo on its own, gazpacho soup in the summer (I'm not even Spanish), fresh tomato and basil in the winter. I don't know what I'd do without tomatoes and spices 8O

White and green, I s'pose. When I'm cooking (er, okay, when I'm heating stuff up or boiling it) by myself I tend to put chilli powder into things; my repertoire mainly consists of "rice+vegetable curry+chilli" and "pasta+sweetcorn+tuna+finely ground dolphin+chilli" and "tinned soup+chilli" and "vegetable pizza with chilli" and "chips and quorn steak with chilli on top."

Supper menu for the upcoming week:
Sunday: breaded, baked pork chops with dressing and . . . . I think broccoli
Monday: Salad, including lettuce, celery, mushrooms, cauliflower, cucumber, radishes, onion, tomatoes, cheese, and 2 deviled eggs.
Tuesday: Chicken cordon bleu, and some veggie - not sure what. Maybe roasted cauliflower with garlic and rosemary.
Wed: Salad again (we eat a lot of salad :))
Thurs: Beer-battered, fried fish with fries and homemade coleslaw. Might make some hushpuppies, too.
Friday: French Toast, I think. With bacon! Lots of bacon.
Saturday: I think I shall make pizza. Or spaghetti. Either way, it's time for some Italian.

I'm fortunate enough to have no food issues. This has led to cooking being an interest for me - we tend to eat well. 8) Although, there have been some rather memorable disasters, too. My beef stew in a pumpkin from Halloween last year will never be forgotten by any who witnessed its explosion. Which was about 50 people who were here for a party. At which the aforementioned beef stew was to be the main course. :(

Oh, my! If you're coming all the way down from Canada, I couldn't serve you any of that! I'd have to make a company menu - maybe start with lamb/veal and ricotta meatballs floating in a rich mushroomy sauce and dusted with slivers of parmesan, romano and asiago cheeses, then a nice bacon-wrapped, bleu cheese stuffed filet mignon with a red wine and plum reduction, served with lobster mashed potatoes and accompanied by a good cabernet (probably Silver Oak - it's quite nice!), - and of course a couple of good, fresh breads - and finish up with cheesecake and, perhaps, a glass of Gran Marnier before settling into some 40 year old Port by the fire to discuss Interests? Of course, there would be some kind of veggie, too, and you'd have to promise to try at least a smidgen of it - you might be surprised at what they can be like, if they're given the proper attention! (I said cooking was an interest, didn't I? I might not be able to socialize with our dinner guests, but I can make darn sure they're well fed!)

So, when should I look for you? :D

Nice to see someone else on here that enjoys food!

Nowadays it's a lot of sandwiches and frozen vegetables and soups and pasta... quick stuff, mostly. Cereal and yogurt for breakfast, usually. Lots of decaffeinated coffee. And all colors.

I don't see what colors have to do with it, though.

I have a colourful diet.

Breakfast is either toast w/ Vegemite; eggs/bacon; or cereal with added fruit.

Lunch is usually a wrap sandwich with lettuce, chicken, avocado, cucumber, carrots, tomato, etc. Or leftovers from dinner.

Dinner: lasagna; stir fry chicken/vegetables with rice; fish and salad; gourmet pizza (sometimes), baked dinner (steak, potatoes, brochili, cauliflower, pumpkin); meat and veg soup or other kinds of soups; curry sausages, baked beans and mashed potato.

Snacks: rice crackers; crackers with cheese, tomato, pesto; chocolate or chips; yogurt.

Drinks: water.

Now I feel hungry.

I am a really picky eater. And I dont have an oven where I live now so i dont get to bake anything. I pretty much get by on a minimal consumption of food. I dont eat bread or loaf, exept on various occation like if its the crusts of a pizza or the pita or wrap of a (rare) taco dinner. One thing I can absolutely NOT resist eating is garlic bread, but I dont like the bread-feeling in my stommace on a regular basis. I dont drink milk either, gives me horrible cramps and a diarrea out of this world (sorry I had to share that). I get migrenes from sugary foods so I try to not let my sweet tooth carry away with me. I dont like vegetables, but I love fruit and fruitsalads.

A fairly regular week foodwise would be: a pair of yellow apples, green grapes, peach ice tea or red/blue berry smoothies, bananas, maybe a few bits of chocolate just for the energy kick.

Sometimes I eat hardboiled eggs - plain, hotdogs - plain, maccaroni - plain, no butter or cheeze just a few splats of ketchup.
