in my opinion there are three types of retardation;

1. mental.

2. physical.

3. social.

autistics are socially ret*d, and no matter how much social skills they gain, they will have a harder time socializing and be a truly independent and respected individual in society.

There are actually many, many more forms of retardation than that. Everyone on the planet is ret*d in some way or other. But saying someone is "a ret*d" is pejorative and degrading. That word, "ret*d," has been tagged and can no longer be used except as an insult.
