I am just wondering if anyone has had much experience with how the Work & Pension's Dept deal with it.

Maybe just tell me about the experience and I can determine more about it.

It would help if you said what country or state/province you live in. Social programs and rules are highly location-specific.

I don't think they have any provisions for AS. They work out disability on a case by case basis. If they deem you fit for work they will force you onto Jobseekers.

^ What he said. I know people with Asperger's who are/have been on Job Seekers Allowance and some who are on sickness benefit. My friend has had to go in for several reassessments for sickness benefit and always gets very stressed, upset and worried that she'll be moved over to Job Seekers, but it never happens.

Sorry, I thought it was called 'welfare' or something in the US. I'm in the UK.
