What are your best techniques of psyching yourself out?

I think Aspies are better at NT at visually psyching ourselves out to do daily activities like getting out of bed, entering social situations, cleaning, etc. What's th first thing you've done when you hear the phrase "psych yourself out" that comes to your head and how has it helped you?

I don't know about psyching myself out, but I psych myself up to things fairly often.

I game what's to happen through in my head, make sure I'm happy to accept the worst outcomes I can imagine, get clear on the messages I want to send, and then take a deep breath and step into it.

Thinking. Before I get up in the morning my thoughts wander and build up and suddenly before I notice it I'm out of bed.
I don't think people with an ASD are better than NT's at it though.
It's called motivation and it's not really something that they struggle with. I thought it was common in ASD to struggle with motivation? That whole executive dysfunction thing.

I always have to pshyc myself up to see people. I am not sure how I do it. It just need time to get used to the idea of seeing a person. It can be anyone, stranger or not. If I am to go out like to a party or the pub then I need time to get used to that too. Very hard for me to do something like that without notice. I am not sure what exactly I do to pshyc myself though.
