When I went to college there was a guy there that was obviously different. He ended up dropping out and is working at a fast food place right now. He plans to go to a community college for a bit. Should I anounomously tell him that he is different neurologically (as in he should look into autism or bipolar)?

A couple examples:
Every time someone touched him, as little as a poke, he said Ow loudly, even for a drop of rain hitting him.
Weird sense of humor
Odd sleep schedule, was flipped from normal
One track mind on topics
Would get really down some days and other days his mood would get really high

I might add some more later.

I know I probably shouldn't say anything, so just wanted some verification. I do think it would help him with stuff if he understood himself better in that this way.

Im glad someone told me they thought I seem autistic to them as it has made a huge difference in my life. However the person who told me, I had approached them for help. We were both aware of huge problems relating to people and non-verbal communication and I was wanting and needing to understand myself better, find answers and change my current position. Despite this I still rejected it when they told me they thought autism, but I googled it when I got home and started to see where they were coming from, but took me months to actually see how it fits and start benefiting from this. Personally if someone from my school randomly told me there is no way I would have taken them seriously.

But approaching someone who has more manic symptoms might be hazardous to your health. :o

He is a pretty mellow person, and I don't live near him., don't see how it would be hazardous to my health, and I said I would probably tell him anonymously if I did tell him

Well if he does have a form of ASD or something else i think its better for him to look into it sooner then later, *in most cases i mean* Anyway how do you plan to do it anonymously? Are you going to send him a letter without a name :o?

Setup a new email, make a facebook account. Message him on there that he should look into either autism or bipolar, WrongPlanet.net would be good place to ask questions on.

I think that could be really hurtful for him. I would HATE having someone point out that I am different and make suggestions about why. He may already know he is different, or even know why. I see no benefit at all of making him aware that it is that noticable to other people. Plus, if he was interested enough to care, he may have already looked into professional help.
