Hello,

Here is an article I wish to share with you that I think you might find quite interesting.

The Great Thimerosal Cover-up: Mercury, Vaccines, Autism and Your Child's Health

You have probably seen your nurse insert a syringe into a large vial, extract some liquid, and then leave a substantial amount of vaccine in the original container. If you've witnessed this seemingly benign procedure, you've seen how vaccine manufacturers are saving money at the expense of public health. In order to store larger amounts of vaccine at a lower cost, companies began offering "multi-dose units" while adding preservatives to prevent contaminations. That way doctors can open and close a vaccine container, inviting germs into the once-sterile solution, while assuring the public that those contaminants are quickly killed by the preservative.
Sound familiar? It's the same story of corporate America's love affair with preservatives. It saves them money, while posing an undue risk to your health. But like many toxic preservatives found in food, a vaccine preservative kills more than just bacteria and fungi; it can lead to extensive neurological damage in your children, and has even been implicated in autism.

Dude, I hate to say this, but you're going to get piled on by all the sciencey people around here. Don't take it personally; we don't hate you--just bad science.

I'm pretty sure everyone who's on here has already heard this, too. It's not news, so those who don't agree are just going to be annoyed that it keeps popping up.

Agreed.

It's a good theory in the right direction, but one I personally feel is flawed. In regards to vaccines, I think the culprit (for some) is that a preservative still in the vaccine breaks down into glutamate. Glutamate is the main excititory neuron in the brain, but too much glutamate causes neuron cell death. Tylenol given after vaccines then also increases glutamate. Cow's milk is high in glutamate (regression, maybe?) That's my theory, anyway, a glutamate imbalance (ie...excess). Excess glutamate levels also lower the body's level of glutathione, which impairs the body from natural detoxification (eczema, allergies, frequent ear infections, etc).
Fortunately, a glutamate imbalance can be corrected for those on the severe end of the spectrum who suffer from such an imbalance. It just doesn't seem that science has caught up yet. It's starting to. Maybe an Aspie will clue them in one day?

Actually, no, an Aspie brought up the glutamine thing a few years back with his brother-in-law, who was looking for a doctoral project for his Ph.D. in pharmacology. The brother-in-law's preliminary investigations showed no backing for this idea; he wound up inventing a narrow-spectrum immunosuppressant for transplant patients, to reduce the chance of organ or limb rejection without completely destroying the patient's immune system. (It's currently in the animal-testing phase; he hopes to see it tested on humans within the decade.)

I make sure I have my MMR vaccine every morning after breakfast. It keeps me from becoming NT.

I'm mercury-positioned  !  8O :!: For some reason is bothers me a whole bunch. i know it's not "supposed" to bother aspies AT ALL and I mean AT ALL! (I don't actually believe this at all)

I feel like I am going to have a panic attack..........

Sorry, there is a lot of things going on all of the sudden. A teacher seems to be scared of me, a girl at my school resents me and she is has an excessive fear of pain and is scared of anything that can physical hurt her. I have to like her, but she can hate me as much as possible.

without knowing the science behind it i can say that while the US and some other countries use that in their vaccines, canada does not put that into vaccines. i looked into this when i first started learning about autism. we also have a lot less vaccines here than the US does. if it was caused by the Thimerosal then we would not see nearly as many cases in canada as we do.

Well, actually, Missy, while the Dominion of Canada was among the first nations to mandate the removal of thimerosal preservatives (along with Denmark, IIRC), it's now in use only in certain third-world nations where other methods of preserving vaccines are impractical. It hasn't been used in the US since about 1998 or so. (For what it's worth, my autistic daughter was born in 2001.)

Timersol hasn't been used as a vaccine preservative for a long time yet there has been no change in autism rates, the MD who proposed a relationship between mercury, vaccines and autism was a lawyer's whore and has had his licence to practice medicine revoked, and the journal that published the article officialy retracted it.
