Heres something that completely changes my perception of reality and how I approach life. What if the reason we are in this life thing is to experience limitation which is only made possible by a certain degree of lack of awareness as to what we are, where we are, why we're here etc. Maybe we actually have no limits and can do whatever we want. This only seems like such a wonderful thing because we are so limited. Maybe we are in this thing in order to experience this illusion of limitation in order to create such extreme contrast and for other reasons. It is only possible for us to be limited like this by being unaware of the nature of reality and ourselves. For example when I'm in a dream I can't fly but when I realise I'm dreaming then I can't not fly. Its impossible for me to recreate the self imposed limitation of not being able to fly when I know that I can. Similarly its only possible for me to be afraid in dreams when I don't know I'm dreaming. I haven't learned to overcome pain in lucid dreams yet so when I get stabbed in lucid dreams it still hurts. Thats an interesting one. For this reason I'm still careful about who I pick a fight with in lucid dreams lol.

Anyhow thats the philosophy. Its really hard to explain so sorry if what I wrote there isn't enough to convey the concept that I use to gain a huge edge on dealing with difficult situations in life. You're welcome if it is.

I agree with you. Why would people choose to believe that they didn't choose to incarnate on this plane, and instead see it as some kind of test or punishment or meaningless exercise?

This kind of discussion probably belongs in the Politics, Philosophy and Religion forum, though.

When the ego catches itself in the mirror, we fall
When I dream my tomorrows, I call
Reach out my hopes, intent into space
Divine the ether and create
That, which must take place
