I suspect i have more than just 'mild' aspergers becasue i find it hard to function in the outside world. I did not find it hard to function really when i was 11 or 12 years old but it has become 'harder' the older i have become.

is thier anything i can do because my quality of life is not good.

I do have quite a big group of friends who i go out with but i do get anxiety in social sitatuations.

i really need some steps on how i can overcome things like 'thinking' too much and parnoia. also i have poor adaption and coping methods as well :(

to be honest in my opinon there is only so much a 'shrink' can do and i keep asking me my parents to help me become better and to help me overcome my difficulties but they just say the same old thing to me "See a couincellor". I do not ask for money, cars, clothes or anything like that from parents and all i ask from them is just to help me overcome my mental health problems but they just turn thier back to me when i ask them.

i have mentioned this before but my height pyscoloigcally cripples me mentally because i am only 5'10 or 5'11.

What does height have to do with anything?

If you are experiencing paranoia you should talk about it with a psychiatrist.

You say there is only "so much" a professional can do and lay all your hopes in internet strangers and your parents. You are never going to overcome anything that way. You need some CBT and probably some medications for your anxiety. To be honest, most of what you are describing doesn't even sound Asperger related.

Well height is an advatnage in society because tall people get employed more and are generally successful.

I am very sorry i am being annoying posting these threads.

As for medication that can have bad side effects

schziophrenia or bipolar disorder could be causing this.

Hate to break it to you but 5'11" is tall. I know this doesn't help because your issues are not rational and are based in some deep psychological disturbance but we can't help you with that here. Find a psychiatrist.

It could have side effects, but not always. And it's best to start the medication early because it can prevent irreversible changes in the brain associated with full blown schizophrenia. When used as a preventative measure or early in such disorders, it's use is usually temporary.

They keep telling you to see a counselor because they don't have the faintest idea how to help you overcome your problems. If you asked them for money, a car or clothes, they would have a much easier time giving you those things.

You really should see a counselor. I'm a parent myself and parental instinct only goes a short ways in understanding what to do to help. Mostly this instinct is not so much actual instinct and more a jumble of childhood memories of what our own parents did, advice from others who also have kids, and books. None of that is a substitute for having a PhD in psychology and clinical experience with many other people who have similar problems.

What do you mean full blown schziophrenia? I will admit i do get a over the top about small things nowadays compared to how i used to be 5 years ago and i do look into small insignifigant things. it could also be a mood disorder problem which is also related to schizophrenia.

i find that many things in my enviorment even at home can also kick of paranoia in my mind.

this is awful what can't i just be sane :(

Because sanity is not a gift that is automatically given to everyone at birth. Some people have to work for it but I think they probably appreciate it more than the "normies". You need to work on it, and you need to work on it with a professional.

Another problem i have is shruggin off annoying repetive thoughts becasue it can take me hours sometimes to shrugg of negetive thoughts or if something is making me feel stressed its harder.

i am finding it hard to get the courage to see a proffesional.

i did have a shrink but she was not a massive help and sometimes i did not always take her advice. i stopped seeing her 2 years ago. she was not always that nice to me either. :?

Which makes it doubly important to make sure it's the right diagnosis. If you're going to be put on meds for something, presumably for life, and such that not taking them is seen as a much worse form of "non-compliance" than not taking meds for other conditions, you really need to make sure that's what it is. I don't know from experience, but "backing out" of a schizophrenia or bipolar diagnosis sounds like it might be difficult, even if you don't actually have it.

i use other forums on the internet and people have accused me outright of having those 2 condtions calling me things like "Are you schizoid you keep chaing your ideas" and also "Are you bioplar?" I get asked these things on other forums completely unrelated to mental health because i keep chaning my ideas about topics or opionon when debating on these forums. I have beena accused by my brother of having schiziophrenia.

what should i say to my parents about this problem? I am seriously freaking out here 8O :pale:

You should ask your parents for help in finding a psychologist or psychiatrist. Your parents aren't qualified to diagnose bipolar or schizophrenia or any other mental health problem (neither is your brother or internet forum posters). But they are qualified to help you look for somebody who can help.

i am taking strong fish oil tablets at the moment which apprently improve depression and anxiety.

This is important as well but since April of this year i have been taken bio melatonin herbal sleeping tablets.

I'm starting to think you are just messing with us. You don't make any sense.
