icommunicatetherapy.com anyone tried?
Hello
During the Sunmmer my nearly 5 year old son does not receive any speech therapy, here in the UK. He only gets speech therapy during school terms. I just feel that's not enough, to get a private speech therapist/pathologist it would cost a fortune. My son needs help saying more than 1 sentence and his speech is unintelligble. Only I can understand him.
I really do believe he needs more help and precious time is being wasted. I do what I can, as my own therapy which is modelling words and making him repeat words, but I really need professional help.
I came across icommunicatetherpay.com which has online speech therapist who will work with my son via internet, and their fee would be more reasonable.
Please can anyone advise if they have used them or if this kind of therapy is suitable. This will noy replace the therapy he receives in school, it will be additional.
Thanks for your suggestions.
Hi, with reference to the comment from Followthereaper90, the icommunicatetherapy service is not a scam - I should know, it is my website and my service!! I have worked hard at getting this service up and running and trying to attract potential users, so comments like this are very unhelpful. Yes my service is offered at a low price, and yes I am a qualified professional with a degree, professional registration and 10 years experience. The reason for the low price is there are very few overheads (no clinic rental, no travel etc), and I live in New Zealand where the charge for a session of speech therapy is much lower than say in the USA. However, with online therapy I have successfully worked with people in the USA, Turkey, Australia, and New Zealand.
If anyone is interested in finding out more about the service, you can find more details on the icommunicatetherapy website.
Online Therapy is not designed to replace face to face contact, but offer a service to those who cannot get / or afford regular therapy locally. We can provide therapy to almost anyone as long as they have a good internet connection. Activities and resources can be presented live on screen and through sound and video links, a successful therapy session can be carried out online.
