Often I feel too drained to watch normal TV shows about characters as I find exhausting and much prefer to watch documentaries to relax, I think this is the opposite to normal people is anyone else the same?

Am a big consumer of documentaries. And I consume far less fictional drama than most people.

Of course nowadays I just watch the news all day.

We elected a reality TV star president so, who need "reality TV", who needs a show like "Scandal" when we have nonfiction scandal constantly, who needs fictional drama, and who needs comedy now? We get constant real drama, comedy, and scandal, in bigger supply than we all can consume with out fiction! Lol!

I like fiction in the form of classic TV shows. Other than that, I prefer documentaries.

For me it depends on the fiction. Sci Fi, I could watch all day. But apart from that I would watch documentaries.

I'm the opposite, I much prefer fiction. Very few documentaries can hold my attention at all.

I don't think I've watched anything fictional, film or tv, in about 20 years. I can't get past the idea that it's just a bunch of people acting. If there's a point to the story, it's usually something that could have been expressed in 5 minutes or less. I used to watch fictional stuff when I was a kid as an excuse to stay up late, but I used to enjoy the adverts and continuity links far more than the actual programmes, which didn't make much sense anyway.
