Hi there,

i am depressed for a while, because someone i loved for lots of years has a different boyfriend now, i had anxiety, and depression before already for a long time.

I still can't forget her, and have fears meeting her once again, and fears that she will be together with him and marry, and i still have problems in social interaction but mainly when i meet someone whos very intense, elsewise i am more or less normal.

I wonder if i shall go to the psychologist. I already found out how i learned my fears, i wonder if it can help if i go there... or it is better i keep reading books and find my own path.

what do you think?

thanks,
anton

The girl I felt was my soulmate dumped me and came back, dumped me and came back, then married me. Woo-hoo!

Then she divorced me, married someone else a year later, had his child, divorced him, married someone else, had his kids...you get the picture.

I love her today as much as the day I first laid eyes on her, and that was 33 years ago. I've seen her a few times in the intervening years, we get along fine now, the last time she even suggested we try dating again. I declined. Been there, done that. Got the scars to prove it.

Point being, you're going to be okay. You've got a lot of living and a lot of experiences ahead of you. Life is a rollercoaster. Strap in and hang on tight.

If one girl can love you, then a million girls can love you. I would not be surprised if more than one girl has a crush on you at this very moment.

Definitely see a psychologist to help you past this difficult time.
