I make a whole bunch of social mistakes when I'm dead tired.

Anyone else?

Same.

I find it very difficult to say what I mean, and instead get stuck saying things (often quotes) that almost but not quite mean what I what, or apply inappropriate scripts by responding to a keyword without any concern for context.

I tend to somehow start sounding rude and sarcastic. And I don't even mean it to be rude or sarcastic. Just kind of happens.

Not necessarily when I'm tired, more like when I forget to monitor myself.

I was thinking of what I do in chat for some reason.

Face to face yeah, I'm not sure how I sound but communication is more complex and annoying.

Me too. Often it just comes out in pieces of what I mean and the people I am talking to understandably get very confused. My friends think it's funny.

Exactly. Forget, or cease to care enough to bother.

Yeah, okay, this makes a lot of sense.

Fatigue makes it a lot harder.

Not when I'm tired, but when I'm stressed out and overwhelmed. Or when I'm comfortable and relaxed. Either extreme brings out the extreme me. Think Chris Jericho crossed with George Carlin, and you get the idea of my general behavior. Confrontational sarcasm with no filter... I never know what I'm gonna say next. Giving me a bullhorn during these times would be a mistake, unless you have a camera and a Youtube account.

I kind of don't filter myself much either. I just forget. And realize how zoned out I sound.

I experience this sort of thing, quite often. It doesn't matter if I'm around people, or on here. You should read the things that are out of my nature that I post, when I try to get myself back to bed, in the wee hours of the morning.

I'll usually only talk if I need to when I'm tired. Otherwise, I'll ignore people.

Same...

Also, when I'm tired ("socially tired", not sleepy), I find it difficult to speak. I can picture the words in my head, but I barely get them out..

same, i'm in my 30's now and i am extremely short when tired, i can get rude or even agressive as i tend to take everything the wrong way if i'm either tired or starving. but when i was in my teens and early 20's, something weird happened to me everytime i was tired: i used to laugh at everything, the filter i had for litteral meanings completely went, and me, my friends and sister, used to get into laughing fits that ended in tears....fatigue made me feel totally stoned. now i'm just cranky :P

Yeah, I get this as well. It's more that I can't be bothered keeping up the usual "don't say this" filter.

I don't make social mistakes. I'm socially apathetic when I'm tried. I'm cranky and will not hold back my insults.
When I'm awake and alert that is when I make the social blunders.
