My 14 year old son who has autism keeps a communication book for school for teacher/parent communication. My daughter who is 8 said, "Mom, I wish I had autism so I can have the things my brother has. I thought about getting her a binder of her own and using it between grandma and I since grandma helps her with her homework after school.
