Being a creature of habit, I also thrive on routine.

Disrupting my routine makes me pretty frustrated or even angry.

I still feel angry at one of my aunts because she only visits with minimal warning. She calls ahead the day before or the day she's coming and not a moment sooner, and I just don't even acknowledge she's here when she is because I am trying to stick to what I expected to do. If I have enough warning (several days) I'd be fine.

It's a good thing she's not just coming to visit me. Other people keep her company.

I've had some really disruptive interruptions in routines in the past, as well, and I really get frustrated when something I expected to happen doesn't happen. Also, I have a thing about food where if I don't get the exact food I expected (say at a restaurant) I will not be happy until I can go back and order the correct meal. A variation of this last month actually made it difficult for me to eat until I satisfied my "craving."

I freaked out for an hour today over something changing.

The bad thing is that you can't really control or help this issue because it's so often out of your control. You can't make people abide by your schedule and routine, you can't make unforeseen events not happen...

I don't really have much of a routine, I change my mind a lot about what I want to do and when I want to do it....it gets annoying sometimes because I can't keep to a routine very easily so its hard for me to plan things or have any sort of set routine or scedule where it might be benificial. I am actually very disorganized.

Another thing I know there is variation among people with aspergers, but still I see a lot about sticking to routines and scedules on this site which I cannot relate to at all.....so Its causing some doubt as to if I have the correct diagnosis or not.

Having Asperger's and Bi-polar's is a chaotic combination. Every time I start settling into a routine I change from manic to depression which will slowly begin changing my sleep schedual and it compleatly throws my routine, as well as my mind, into havoc.
