Tonight I am going round a friends apartment. there will be a few of us there since we are playing poker and watching a film.

what is really making me worried though is the fact that there is that voice in my head saying "You have AS communication will never come natuarlly to you" this is paralyzing me in social situations and making me afraid to speak and harder for me to communicate.

can i have a survival guide for tonight?

As long as you do not dominate the conversation, you will do great. Some people with NT & AS have difficulty with taking turns in the conversation.

They invited you to the game because they believed that you would be fun.

Good luck. Try not to stress or worry too much about your AS. As others have said, remember to take turns.

Taking turns = letting other people talk too.

Just make sure that what you say adds something to the conversation, and doesn't just give your mouth something to do.

neither of those activities require a lot or any talking- you will be fine

Just dont worry about things so much. You dont have to say much just remain engaged in your activities especially with the film you just have to watch it and seem interested. Things should be fine.

It went well and i pretended to be interested in my friends lives.
