To have a "speech delay", how long do you have to for without talking because obviously, some kids talk later and some talk earlier.

So, how long does it take, for a someone to be consider "speech delayed?"

I think it's no speech by the age of two years. If no speech is present by then, it's considered delayed.

Speech delay is not always in just vocabulary, Part of the classic autism DX criteria is delays in the ability to initiate and sustain conversation.
