Can you help me find diagnosis in the pacific northwest?

I'm sure this has been addressed before, but can anyone tell me where one can get an official diagnosis in the Seattle/Tacoma area? I am on medicare/medicaid and everywhere I check out
all want big bucks that I can't afford....Are official diagnosis' reserved only for the rich or what's the deal? Can someone out there enlighten me please! I'm 47 and desperately want to find out what is going on in my head and why the trouble with fitting in
to the social game most all my life.

Well, when I get a chance I'm going to check out SeaMar - they have an office in Puyallup, which is convenient for me, and it's supposed to be a "sliding-scale" kind of place, and one that deals with matters psychological as well as medical; perhaps they'll slide right down near zero for me (since the Legislature would rather cut medical services for poor residents than annoy Tim Eyman by charging taxes or something), and perhaps they might have someone who knows something about the autistic spectrum...

Karen Grant in Portland, OR specializes in women and girls with AS.

Dr. Nan Truitt (link) of Anchorage, Alaska (she is based in Glennallen, AK though) specializes in autism diagnosis. She is the one who diagnosed me. She does cover Medicaid (I think just Alaska only), but am not sure about Medicare. You will need a referral though.

Tony Attwood gave me a referral to Karen Grant, PhD in Portland.

Another person gave me a referral to Robert Devney, MD in Woodinville.
His # is 425-481-0429.

I don't know anything about cost!

I commit thread necromancy to ask - did you call SeaMar? And if so, were they any help?

I've just been trying to keep myself from falling in to the pit...
