Specific books on Asperger's

Looking for book suggestions, specifically;

A. Books dealing with asperger's in women.
Looking at how issues that effect women may effect women with asperger's.

B. Books for partners of women with asperger's.
Looking for something reasonably light for my boyfriend, both more general to help him understand asperger's better, but something that maybe explains difficulties some people with asperger's may struggle with intimacy, etc.

Any suggestions?
Any suggestions for books relating to asperger's that are particularly good they're welcome too.

I second Guide to Asperger's Syndrome it's a MUST BUY!

Aspergirls by Rudy Simone is great about women and their experience with AS

Not specifically about girls, but contains many quotes from both genders, including some from WP:[i] "Wait, What Do You Mean?" Asperger's Tell and Show [/i]

I very very strongly recommend a book called Women From Another Planet. An anthology of writing by autistic women, most of them AS.

Also try this bibliography of books by autistic people. Many are by women. Not all are specifically AS but that barely matters much of the time:

Which is why I bought it to begin with. Her viewpoint is pretty cynical and skewed by her personal problems with her own husband. The book purports to be an expert opinion but is entirely based on her own relationship with her husband and "a dozen" couples she interviews. She seems to almost despise her husband and his condition in sections of the book. I thought my distaste for the book was based on my being an Aspie husband until I came to Wrong Planet and discussed it with a couple of NT wives who saw the same flaws in the book that I did. She is very pessimistic and keeps bringing the conversation back to one of her main points - he will never change and you shouldn't feel bad for leaving him. Not all that helpful.

I'll swear by this one. I saw it from another thread and immediately ordered it. I've got every other page marked up with lines and margin notes. Super-fab!

Interesting. I'll keep this in mind. My wife and I are looking for some books but we want positive reinforcement.
