Tonight me and the family went out for dinner. The kids got there food before the adults and it was overall a bad waitress,we had to wait forever etc. On the way home mom said she would have fealt guilty eating since Madison (one of the kids who's 9) was done eating. I asked why, she has her DS to play. Dad then said I don't feel guilty about anything. I still stand by why should one feel guilty over eating since the Madison was already done to begin with. I see nothing to be guilty over.

I honestly have no idea if she was going to feel guilty for eating after the kid finished why didn't she just have the kid wait till everyone had food?

Confuses me to. I would feel guilty eating in front of someone that had no food, but someone already fed? Makes no sense to me. :?:

It makes no sense to me. It's not like someone is going to be traumatized by having to wait a few minutes for someone else to finish eating.

You're not the only one who's confused. That would confuse me as well. Your mum waisted food and money.

This perplexes me.

It's some good manners thing. A few times I have been scolded for eating when other people were not. When I get hungry I eat or I will trash the place. Not really but I have to eat at a certain time.

Id say manners dictate no one should start eating until everyone has their food in front of them.

Next time you can score points with your sis by letting her order desset ahead of time ;)

That really makes no sense, did your parents order food and then not eat it because the 9 year old finished eating first? and expected you to waste your food as well? lol that really does not make any sense at all.

Well the adults got there food after the kids. Mom's burger was bad so she sent it back and refused to get another. While we were on the way home she mention she would have fealt bad eating since Madison was already done. I see no point to it either. She had her DS to play and was already done with her dinner I see no problem or issue with being "guilty." Of course as an Aspie we lack Empathy and other such things which is one of my main issues. Also Titangeek I didn't know it was meant as a joke. :-)

In retrospect it was not a well thought out joke
