My daughter was evaluated for Autism using a Gars-2 test however the doc's office won't divulge the results other than saying it is very likely that she is. We have an appointment to get her into a "special" charter school tomorrow but we need the scores evaluated for it and the Doc's office has it in Que to scan it in. Stupid hippa laws and the idiot Obama has screwed up a simple process. Need help Asap. Thanks, Don

Not sure what Obama has to do with it.

Nevertheless, they can't withhold that information. The can charge you a fee to make copies, sometimes $1 per page. But you are her legal guardian so you can get it.

Obama wanted all med records to be digitized so I have to wait for doc's office to scan it in before they can give me copies.

Is that what the doctor told you? If so they're full of crap. The records are there, they have access to them. They can get you a copy if you insist. Tell them you will have your lawyer call them.

And just to be clear, doctors have until 2015 to digitize the records. Either you're doctor is feeding you a line of bull or you are just making assumptions.

Doc's office may have been feeding me a line but I am unable to tell. I got too overstim to hang out there for very long. I am undiagnosed but know that I am Aspie thanks to getting my kids diagnosed. All I know is they handed me a line saying it was in a huge que to be scanned so I gave them my number and hit the door.

This was a recent test wasn't it? You need those results for your kids school. I think I can understand your frustration. Doctors offices can treat you like a piece of meat. I guess I would just make things a lot more uncomfortable for them if it were me.
