I'd be interested to hear bad animal stories. My first cat used to bite and scatch me all the time and I had no clue why. I was bitten by the neighbor's dog once so hard that my hand bled, was bitten by another dog at a party and it scared the bejesus out of me. I also once pushed a cat off of a high porch because I heard that they always land on their feet, only to be scolded by my grandparents (the cat was fine though).

Our next door neighbor had a Poodle and he was mean. He always barked and chased after people but thanks to his owners having him tied up, he couldn't run far. One day he bit my baby brother and well that explains why I had phobia over dogs. I knew it was because of that mean dog the neighbors had so I thought all dogs were like that and then one day he bit my brother so I think that's when the phobia began.

When we moved to Montana, we had this mean Tabby cat on our land. He was left by our former renters my parents rented their house to when we lived in Washington. He would terrorize our cats and we think he might have killed this rabbit we had on our land the former renters also left behind. They decided to set him free.
He would also hiss at my mother when she go to work and all our cats would eat and keep turning their backs to see if he was around and go back to eating and then turn their backs. When one of my cats had kittens, she would take all of them to the garage and put them in this hole and we would keep putting them back on the porch but she would keep bringing them back there. Then we figured she was maybe doing it to protect them from at Cat. That's what we called the Tabby cat because he was fat. Then one day my dad shot him.

I got bitten by the neighbor's dog too. I hated that creature. It was hideous and barked at me and chased after me every time it saw me. I was scared of dogs for most of my childhood. But now I really like both cats and dogs.

I've always loved animals, but my family has a large wolf/chow mix...Sounds terrible but absolutely and unwaveringly sweet. When I was a little kid I would climb into his fence and get scared of him (He was taller than me), climb up on his dog house, and throw sticks at him until I could get out.

I still feel terrible about doing that, too.
