This seems like it wouldn't be something that someone with ASD would care about, but i've noticed that i sometimes kind of enjoy seeing people's reactions to different things. Seems almost contradictory, so i was wondering if anyone else is like this at all. For example.. If i'm riding a rollercoaster i find it very amusing if someone who hasn't ridden one before sits near me and starts going all "Oh my god, this is too high, omg omg!"(i actually usually hope that there will be one of those people on the ride, because i find it so funny) Or if i watch a movie that i think is funny then i might want to watch it again with my parents to see if they laugh at parts. It seems like a lot of the time when i want other people to do things with me it's actually in large part because i want to see their reaction to it.. To see if they will react the way i think that they will and all. I don't know if this is more me wanting to share experiences with people or sort of a way of studying them.

I do this all of the time. I call myself a student of human nature.

Yes! I love observing people. People fascinate me, but I don't think I will ever understand them ... or figure out how to blend in properly.

It's quite funny to see what mindless drones they can be.

I get amusement when I see people's cognitive dissonance, I get amused at people'spain...that sounds horrible, and I get amused when people are shocked by something so not shocking.

I agree with you. Studying people's behavior is fascinating.

I'm the opposite. :? I'm often interested in people's reactions to things, but unsettled by them because I often don't understand. I'll know intellectually why they react to things the way they do, or at least know that it's a common reaction if I don't know why, but lack of genuine understand makes it leave me feeling a bit perturbed at times.

i love watching people's reactions - if anything, it helps me locate NT social boundaries (especially if in a situation i have set up) :D

Same thing with the movie thing. If I see a funny movie I have to have a friend or a family member watch it. I find my self watching them for their reaction than actually watching the movie my self.

I think I do watch them because I am more worried they will not laugh at the things I found funny.
