My teenage son,now 15, was diagnosed with Aspergers 4 years ago by an HMO that we no longer see. He needs a therapist and/or psychiatrist who actually has experience treating people on the spectrum for things like anxiety, anger and social skills. I have been looking for a decent therapist for him since early June and have met several practitioners who say they have experience with people on the spectrum, but they don't. My son is really getting annoyed by the frequent trips to people who donot understand the disorder at all. Duh.
Does anyone on this board have a good therapist or psychiatrist in SF area or northern California?
