Knowing if you have aspergers
I'm a 14 year old femaile. Since 5th grade I've had a thing for watching shows on medical stuff and looking up random disorders online. I also am really interested in how the brain works. So, I decided to look up aspergers a few days ago. After much research, I think I might have aspergers. I have many symptoms like:
-I hate touching people
-I have a hard time remembering names
-I walk unstraight and often bump into things; clumsy
-I often am accused of being rude for saying something I didn't think was bad
-I get tounge-tied and am not really sure how to explain my feelings
-I'm told I'm naive and gullible
-I'm to loud when I talk and often talk to much
-I bore people about topics I think are interesting
-I don't understand people's feelings
-I don't understand facial expressions very well, I can't tell if someones sad or mad unless they're crying or say it verbally
-I can understand tones in other people voice most of the time, but people don't always understand my tones. When I compliment someone they sometimes think I'm being sarcastic, and my mom often gets mad at me for getting an "aggressive tone" when I don't mean to.
-I'm terrible at making and keeping friends, most people find me annoying.
-I hate large crowds and socializing.
-I am sensitive to touch, like I don't like wearing certain socks or undershirts.
-I'm sensitive to smell, though I don't know if this counts.
-I don't like making eye contact, but I usually do make it anyway because if I don't people tend to ignore me.
-Obsessed with Health, the human brain, and physics.
-Have a hard time getting to sleep

Since you are a minor, it would be fairly easy for you to get an evaluation. If you wish to be evaluated you can talk to your parents about it. If you do have social issues, it's best to address them while you are young. There are a lot of social opportunities for teenagers that you might regret missing if you don't take advantage of them.
Dating, a group of friends, and so on...not that adults can't date or have a group of friends, it's just more difficult to meet people once you leave school and people get busy with work.
many of those things you list also have a lot in common with just being a 14 year old girl...
I mean you can take the various tests online, answer them honestly and it can give you a general idea but the only person who could officially diagnosis you would be an autism specialist. Going solely on symptoms is a bad idea especially when trying to diagnosis a neurological difference.
on a side note a lot of things you listed as symptoms as very common in people that aren't effected with AS, I'm not saying don't look into it but having AS is a lot more then just hitting my head on things(I'm 6'6") and being sensitive to sunlight =P

Your tactile and olfactory sensitivity, verbal sophistication relative to your age, interests, cognitive complexity as can inferred from your research efforts, difficulty in getting to sleep (Because you're thinking too much, right?), and many of the characteristics you listed seem to suggest...
You're highly gifted.
It's a disorder that will never go away, sad to say.
Btw, where are you at with physics? Are you calculating or formulating anything?
I remember calculating ballistic trajectories when I was your age.
