I finally got my business name and number in the AT&T phone book, the real phone book not the crappy cheap ripoff second tier phone book that charged me 13 months for a year of ad time and screwed me over in numerous other ways. I fix computers out of my parents' house, and I have a hard time with advertising. When you have a business license every sicko salesvulture wants your money. I've had calls from websites I've never heard of by people with strange accents. I haven't posted ads on Craigslist because it has a somewhat disreputable rep in my area. Distributing fliers is illegal here, too. That leaves the phone book. I'm third on the listing. I was crazy for much of my 20s due to autism so didn't work, now I can't find a job, which is not unusual nowadays. So I put ads out there and wait for calls.
