... I really think so.

I'm watching Ambassador Ichiro Fujisaki from Japan being interviewed on NPR... and his dignity and composure gives me butterflies.

Can you believe that they don't need to lock their bikes? There have been no looters, no rip offs. Remember after Katrina when the police went crazy and all hell broke lose in New Orleans? Surely if this earthquake, tsunami, and meltdown happened off the coast of California... just keeping the thieves at bay and ripoff artists would be a big part of recovery.

I think I would do much better around people who I did not fear were against me when the chips were down.

I have a lot of respect for how they have maintained their composure through all of this. I also admire the bravery of the workers at the fukushima nuclear site. I wonder if I could do it?

No looters? Wow, I'm surprised. In Australia we're sure to have something like that. When we had those bush fires thieves broke into homes, on Christmas day mind.
