Leaving the medical stuff that I've also disussed recently aside ~ I have nothing , I was never helped , never " understood "/treated with some understanding due to my AS-ness - I was not DXd til' my 40s , I was long since homeless by then :(
People here talk about their workers/helpers who help them , I have none of that , I own what I have on my overloaded back , I am in depressing weather Seattle , you know...People go on and on about videogames , I have literally never played a at-home videogame (I've played consoles/arcade games a teeny bit) , I mention this because of the sterotype of Aspies endlessly playing videogames :( .
I have no DVDs , no books/publications collection , no room to retreat no , nothing :( .
My only hope/fantasy is going to college (uni)at a ridiculously over age , and , it would be incredibly convoluted to get it set up :( .

Crisis = opportunity. You need to connect and end the isolation. That's the most important thing right now. Find a safe group or a safe person and take advantage of safe support to get some clarity on plans from here. Go to a Citizen's Advice Bureau, maybe, if you can, and start exploring resources there, with helpful people who know where those resources are.

Less is more. You're not burdened with any material crap or obligations. You're free.

If education & knowledge is what you seek, spend your time pursuing those things all you can. Go to the library, read books, get online and educate yourself. Maybe go to a local college/university library and hang out there. Who knows, you might make a friend that could help you out with some part time work that will help you with your goals.

As for books, video games and other "things," the real trick to having everything you want is not to want any things. I used to want more stuff, but now, not so much. Quality over quantity. Sure, I want to repair & complement some sporting goods I have with additions next Summer, but beyond that I basically want to reduce my material possessions by getting rid of clutter and crap I don't need. The things I want aren't things at all. I'd rather have friends, love, good times, experiences & memories than more stuff. Shift your thinking towards all of the things in life that you can experience for free vs. longing for material possessions and regardless of your income or finances you'll be content - because you won't want any things.

Health is wealth.

Money, material possessions, houses, cars etc - all useless crap.

Focus on your health in every way you can. Take care of your wounds, eat as healthily as you can, get proper rest, think positively about healing yourself. etc. Bit by bit, the healthier you get the better your outlook on e v e r y t h i n g will be, even without monetary wealth or material possessions. It's been my experience (not just theory) that monetary wealth begins to build with mental and physical health being balanced first and foremost. Get yourself well and perhaps someday you'll have the luxury of things you'd like to have. In the meantime, focus your energy and efforts on improving your health as best as you can & bit by bit things will improve.

...I don't want to "hang around a uni library , soaking up knowledge for myself " (looking pretty creepy-old and suspicious I'd think) , I want the direction and prestige of being a student … :-(

You do 100% of what you can do for yourself.

Stay sober if you're one to drink or do drugs. Get proper sleep. Exercise as best as you can given your situation with your feet. Drink plenty of water. Eat as healthily as you can. Think positive thoughts about your own healing progress - even meditate on it.

As for help, if you can get any - great. If you can't, you can at least request the help of others right here on this forum by way of positive thoughts/prayer being sent your way. Whether you believe in it or not, the power of prayer is a known healing phenomenon.

Do you know about Freecycle.org? You could post wanted ads on there for free asking for surplus fruit and vegetables from local home gardens; as you have no resources, apart from being online, that's what you have to use to meet some of your immediate needs, and Goldfish is right, health is the priority, if you aren't eating well then it affects the way you feel and think. You have your imagination and computer access and that's what you will have to use meantime to make your situation better.

Google brought up Seattle Union Gospel Mission - they offer free dental care, free medical rehab for men recovering from illness or surgery, and other services so may be worth checking out if you haven't already.

I like your name.

I was homeless for a bit while I was trying to sort my life out. It helped me to understand a lot about myself and about the world and a realistic view of what I can actually do. Start anywhere you can, doing anything you can to improve your situation. Keep doing that forever. Finding *any* work is usually a good start.

I have a question for you though. There is a great focus in all your posts on 'not having any help'. What help do you need / want?

...I really have no way of picking up , or p4eserving , or preparing , surplus fruit or begs , and the publicity/search results to mission places will often give the impressi9n that they offer more stuff/m9re readily than the6 in fact d9 . (Perhaps based on old , pre-budget cuts , facts .) What I need help_-wise , for some , is somewhere to rest and recover from my postooperation situation . And I need a more allo2ing consistent rest , and not straining myself with the luggage , situation now. In the aftermath of the amputation . I need that now … Rest and improving my walking ability at a not carrying a ball and chain manner .

Are there any outreach programmes in your area? Maybe you can contact one of them and tell them your situation.
