Does anyone on here find the sound of rainfall (esp. if not caught in it) extremely relaxing (esp. if been stressed)? It is almost as if I can detach myself from what's going on around me & relax 100% when watching & listening to it.

i love the sound of rain, it is lovely and very relaxing i used to live in a caravan and when it rained you could here it very loudly. It was great. I also get blissed out when i'm a passenger in a car at night. The darkness and the lights and the speed all make me very spacy, i end up staring out the window and not speaking for hours. But its a very nice feeling.

Yeah I like the sound of the rain. But I'm not crazy about getting in the rain. I
ran & walked several miles in heavy rain a few days ago. I rather not do that again.

I remember driving in car with my mother when I was a child at night. It was so nice, I often didn't know where we were going but I knew I didn't want us to ever get there I just wanted to drive in the car.

I like the sound of rain and to see the raindrops fall. Saw an exebition with the theme rain and fire, videos and stuff, really nice and relaxing. I think the artists name was Al de Viola or something. American. One video with water falling I could just sit and look at forever. Spaced out.

i love heavy rain. ive always had an obsession with water too... i remeber flooding the bathroom a few times so theat the water came down the stairs lol.

yesterday i finished work at 1pm... and it was tipping it down.... i rode it home on my bike, and when i got near my house i was saturated!! dripping wet....
i live by Lake Windermere in england, so i kept on riding my bike past my house to the lake shore, then abandoning my bike on the shore i got into the lake. it was still warm from our recent heatwave..... so i went in deeper it was quite rough and wavy so i stayed within standing depth, im a good swimmer so i knew id be fine anyway.... then--- it came... the rain,,,, by the truck load!! there iw as laughin my arse off in the water with the rain coming down on top of me pelting the lake water! it was soooo much fun!

I love to listen to the rain too. It was only a few hours ago that it started raining fairly heavily, and my mother asked me to close all the windows. I closed all by my own, and just opened it twice as wide and put my head out. I find it very nice feeling when it falls on my head and face.

i love when it rains! i can sit in front of window and listen and watch it fall(same for snow) if its raining hard or moderate and its nighttime its fastrack to sleepyland.

i also found it relaxing to be in back of a car and it be night time and hearing rain fall on roof and seeing the light come in from the street lights. it never happens anymore because my dad cannot see at night to drive.

I love the rain and I really like it when I can sit and play on my PSP at the same time.

I love the sound, the feel and the noise of rain.

I space out a lot of recent, even more so coming of my medication.

I have a skylight above my bed and love nights when its raining can hear it so clearly when it hits the glass very calming

Yeah i like the rain too, and find it quite relaxing.

Love the rain. I love being able to sit inside and watch it. I prefer to be outside in a waterproof coat so that I'm in the rain but not wet - though in the summer if it's hot I love getting drenched. Which doesn't happen often enough But yes, the sound of rain, and the sound of natural water features is just bliss.

I do both of those things as well. I love being a passenger in a car at night, it makes the drive a lot more enjoyable. Espescially at night while it is raining

Rain is great. And it is very relaxing indeed.

I love the rain the sound the smell the everything. What I like even more than a rainstorm is a thunderstorm.

I feel my best and I seem to be able to think clearer on rainy days...strange.

I love the sound of the rain...on rainy summer days I love to stand out in the rain or take a walk in it sometimes without an umbrella...as long as there's no lightening of course.

I love when it rains. It is depressing to look at the weekly weather forecast and see no rain for a week. I find a nice steady rain relaxing, a misty rain peaceful but a strong rainstorm energizing.
