I'm sure this has been asked before, but--other than the well-known language delay fact--what are some other key differences between AS and HFA? Also if one didn't speak until 2 1/2....is that considered a language delay? I spoke at 2 1/2, then had to go to language therapy and was put into preschool at age 3 as per the speech therapist's request. I was diagnosed with AS, but the psychologist who evaluated me said she notices a real issue with my speech/language when I try to talk (my speech is far less advanced than my writing unless I spend a lot of time rehearsing what I am going to say).

That is a language delay but within the parameters described for AS.
