haha i had noticed this thread and had been thinking about it, finding nothing...then i got curious, what DOES wavefreak58 understand that i don't? well it seems we're at the same point.
i have been though everything, from eating habits to relationships, i find nothing.
maybe the way they love their children is somewhat similar? they seem quite attached to them...in a less animalistic way maybe? (don't freak out i know they love their children, but i saw countless times on television (never in real life so maybe it would be different) social services taking children away from their parents, and i saw no attempted murder from the parents in response to this so it makes me wonder....they were quite relaxed , crying maybe but attempting nothing much.....)
what DO we have in common..............

We are both affected by gravity and we both cast shadows.

NT social life is just a big competition where the participants set their own grades

Everyone, whether they're Aspie or NT, wants money.

I despise money. I despise even more the effect on ones life of having or not having money.

But you still want it. You need it to live.

Ooo controversial :) 8O I don't want money - I accept I need it - I might get sick, I might not get another job (and I will age and my desire to work will tire) and the money I have for rent, food etc. might run out, I know money is in some way a signal of relative status in work so if I was paid worse than people doing similar work to me that would be a bad sign. But I don't want it. I'd rather have peace of mind (while a minimum amount of money is needed for that, there is a lot more to peace of mind than that) - that seems elusive enough...

Agreed. But my motivations surrounding it are not very typical.

Even people who claim not to be greedy and such need money to live, and even really charitable people wouldn't turn down a large sum of money because they could use it for philanthropy.

It's a basic fact: everyone wants money, whether they know it or not.

The majority of people, of course, wish they could be rich (though so very few bother trying to make their wish come true) and they drool over expensive things.

I personally have been going on about getting rich since I was in primary school and am currently working on actually doing it.

I disagree. This is just an assumption based on personal perspectives.

Good question, I think I understand their need to do this. They are scared to stop, they think they would stop to exist if they did so.

No it isn't. Everyone needs food and shelter, so everyone wants money to get it with.

Have you remembered to include all cultures in this assertion?
