Does anyone else feel the urge to repeat/contradict?

I know repeating people/yourself is a common symptom of ASD, and I've had the issue with repeating thoughts/sounds in my head, but lately one of my "things" has been getting worse.

Examples;

Them: That person looks ugly
Me: You look ugly.

Them: This tastes awful
Me: You taste awful.

Them: This is annoying.
Me: You are annoying.

Them: I don't like this.
Me: I don't like you.

It's hard to explain I suppose.. I have a hard time explaining things like this.

It's just kind of an urge to say it.. I try not to but it's almost always a thought when someone says something similar to those statements. It upsets my Mother a lot, because she thinks I'm being mean to her constantly(my tone of voice and facial expressions confuse her) but I'm not. :roll:

(Also, random question that has nothing to do with this... has anyone had extra difficulty adjusting to new glasses.. I got new ones today and they're driving me nuts :( )

I agree. I honestly believe I was not meant for constant human interaction.
