Last year Erica mention MySpace and that one of my old friends was on it. I saw sad news of a house fire and a dad's death. The friend's name is Dallas. Well! Today I ran into her. I was all excited OMG! I haven't seen you in forever! You never go on MySpace (She has 2 kids busy mom and all). I then said last time I looked your mom dealt with a house fire and your dad died. She said ya then we continued talking and exchanged numbers. She's 5min. from my house YA!! !! BUT was the death/fire comment too much for seeing a friend you haven't seen in years? I think so looking BACK but that's as stated looking BACK I didn't think of it as an issue at the time but we talked and such so she seemed fine. Thanks WP! YA!

Sounds ok to me, as long as you were sympathetic about it. It would probably be worse if you didn't acknowledge it.

Thanks. Also since we exchanged numbers should SHE call me or I call her? She's busy with 2 kids so I rather not be a bother. Catching up more would be nice. What has she been doing since High School etc. I got ALOT just from her MySpace page though. :-)

That wasn't a social error at all. You did just the right thing. :thumleft:

As for phoning, it is fine for you to call her. Wait about a week, then call. The protocol is that either one of you can call but when people have kids, they are more likely to forget unless they are super organized (which some moms are, but lots aren't).
