Does anyone else feel REALLY ill when there are thunderstorms around. I don't mean that slight headachey feeling that some people say, but really exhausted, dizzy and hot as well. I'm feeling terrible today and I know thunderstorms are around.

Yeah, there was a storm here yesterday and I felt awful all day - a weird sensation of feeling claustraphobic, exhausted, hot and headachy.

Not really. I always love the sound of thunder. Sure it's loud and unexpected, but it's such an awesome sound.

I enjoy the actual storm, I think they're brilliant, I mean the lead up to it, when it's just about to strike! Ugh, I feel so dizzy :(

So, you mean the sort of uneasiness in the atmosphere as a dark cloud looms?
There was one here last night. I enjoy them.

I really don't like thunder Storms due to the fact that the loud thunder makes me cringe I have a hearing sensitivity and me and thunder just don't get along.

Thunder calms me down, calm enough to were it reduces my stutter when I talk.

Are you sure you're not having a panic attack? That'd kind how I feel when I panic (hot, dizzy, shaky). I melt down or panic when it storms... my noise cancelling headphones help, but I sometimes end up calling my mom freaking out.

I've always had fear of thunder. If a thunderstorm comes overhead while I'm asleep, and thunder crashes directly overhead, I wake up in fetal position. Thunder has always scared me more than almost anything in a thunderstorm, and I really don't know exactly why. I guess I just hate that loud boom... :hmph:

Don't have em where I live but when I go somewhere that does have em, I enjoy them; it's like a fireworks show!

Yes. I usually find a gentle rain quite soothing, but heavy thunder is an entirely different matter.

The first indication that there will be a storm for me is when my tinnitus acts up, and not just whooshing or ringing but clanging, and both ears will be affected. I can feel a pressure between them too.

Last time it rained it sounded like someone had turned the volume up on full. Now lightning, I can't look at it because it makes me ill. That leaves thunder, which sounds like my town is under the threat of war.

So have sensitive hearing is not a good thing when it storms.

I smell a damp, warm rainy sort of smell in the air, and the wind gets up, yet it's really clammy at the same time. I can smell when rain or thunder is coming. Nothing to do with sensitivity - I just know the smell. Weather is my special interest (even though snow makes me highly anxious and upset).

No, I don't have any physical affects when thunderstorms are coming. Although I like thunderstorms, I worry when one is coming because of the thought of it striking my house. I have a fear of fires. *shudder*
