Repetition or acquiring completely new knowledge?

I posted this thread to ask whether anyone else on the board, like me, while being interested in something and looking for information on the object of this interest, is also more interested in rereading old pieces of information, previously already known to them than in acquiring completely new knowledge on the same subject. Yes, I am interested in reading something new, of course, but at the same time I'm very, very fond of repetition when it comes to reading about the thing I'm interested in. Do you share this trait with me?

Yes. If I had infinite time available to me for studying for my course, I would be stuck on the same section as long as possible and repeat everything in the section over and over again until I'm sick of it. I find it difficult to get myself to move onto new material.

this happens for me in any situation not only acquiring knowledge, for example in childhood for a long time i was keen to repeat painting the same drawing, or play strategical computer games at the same level to repeat and perfect the actions.. the same with reading
