Now they say that Freemasonry makes 'good men better', and they say things like that about various bootcamps and the military. So I'm going to ask about initiation in general, whether it's being in the military or one of those Native American vision quests.

Does it make you 'grow up', in a way that some autistics including myself have trouble doing? I find myself acting spoiled, being a big baby, not knowing when to do certain things. And this is not 'core' autistic stuff but being sheltered, hunkering down and just not understanding how to take care of myself. It's definitely exacerbated by autism but you can totally be a mature autistic person as shown by the awesome people here.

And you know what I want to be that mature person. Self-improvement and being a mensch in general rather than emotional immaturity and b1tchery. Like emotional stability and a solid foundation outside of that which meds give you. Any options (I'm open to joining a religion temporarily even). Do things like fraternal orders help or would watching some horror movies in sequence and then partying with your friends apply the correct reprogramming 'jolt'. Any thoughts?
