Sensory Overload and feeling ill--family doesn't "get it"
My family is always telling me to clean up a room or the house or do some tasks, but I can usually only handle a small amount of things.
For example, I will clean/organize about half of a room or maybe one room, and I will get very obsessive and perfectionist about it.
Soon, I get blurred vision, a stuffy, spinning feeling in my head, nausea, tunnel vision/sensitivity to light, some times a headache or migraine. I just want to lay down.
The worst part is that the beauty and aesthetically pleasing-ness of the room after the fact excites and overstimulates me even more and makes me feel worse to the point where I can't tolerate the cleanliness any more than the dirt.
Also, it is worse on days like today when I have done other overwhelming things like go out to shop or therapy, have a fight with someone, take a walk, or any combination of that.
Going outside or shopping for more than 2 hours makes me ill and need to lay down for the day, too. My mother, who has Multiple Sclerosis, thinks I am making fun/or mocking her when I do this, because she has that issue.
