How to get official AS diagnosis w/ Medicaid?

I'm on SSI disability, which was approved for my depression, but I'm sure I also have either HFA or Asperger's.

How can I use Medicaid to get an official HFA, Asperger's or other Autism Spectrum diagnosis?

Will this help me keep my eligibility for SSI and Medicaid?

Call around different psychiatrist/psycologist's office and ask two questions. Do you take Medicaid? and Do you have experience with Asperger's or Autism in adults? If you're already on SSI due to depression, I can't imagine them taking it away because of an ASD diagnosis.
