People requesting that you sing a song, or do a dance, or maybe even simulate a sex act, etc. to make a spectacle of yourself or humiliate you.

The author of the Asperger Survival Guide touched on this, and said in no uncertain terms that the correct response to these people is to tell them to piss off.

Sometimes we can be gullible and end up doing stuff like that, at least at a younger age.
I have witnessed and to a been there myself one or twice a while back, and agree that it is a form of bullying.

I found this kind of bullying the toughest to deal with and the most damaging long-term. Once you realize you're just a dancing monkey, you do just tell the bullies to piss off.

But then what? Do you tell everyone who wants you to do something to piss off? Your ability to trust people and make friends is forever damaged.

Yes, this type of bullying happens alot. I experienced this every day when I was in middle school, and someone even tried to do that to me when I was at my college job. By then I was in my twenties and I knew better.

It's popular because it's not obvious to any chaperone, and it's definitely not obvious to an aspie. I used to be bullied like this all the time. A nice kid actually had to come up to me and explain that I was being bullied. I'm forever thankful that someone did that, because now I can recognize it before it becomes an issue.

I was treated like that every single day for half of the summer at the factory that I was working with, 15 years ago. I've eventually stopped hanging out with the younger crowd at work and started hanging out with the Baby Boomer crowd. Things got a lot better for me when I did that.

People have done that to me!
Now I'd just walk away.

Well...you have to separate the "sing a song for the lulz" which is not intended as insulting in a way, and malicious stuff. It may not be intended as bullying to the perps. They may join in as well in a contest. IT depends.

Happened to me a lot, now whenever I suspect anything I don't do it.
