I came close to a meltdown at work today... my project at my programming job is not going well. I might have been able to handle it better but with our house flooding due to a broken pipe we are living out of suitcases and I feel very lost. Also my sleep has been horrible for several nights in a row. I am feeling very overwhelmed at the moment.

well, why is this stressing you so? will it effect the rest of your life or something? do you have insurance that will pay for the flooding? most things pass as long as you don't die first. i've been homeless three times. once during my second semester of college. once about two days before i graduated. and the last time after i had to quit my job thank to problems with my feet. i learned from all of that that bad things tend to pass. and if they don't, don't worry about it. if you're screwed you're screwed. thinking solves problems. worrying enhances them. and i know i don't follow this advice. but as a hypocrite, i know what i'm talking about.

also, do you exercise? it can make you feel better and relieve stress. if you have a partner, screw her. that relieves stress as well.
