Most of my fine motor skills are just OK, but when I write, I have to write slowly for my writing to be neat.

Does anyone else have this problem?

No. Not for me. I can't go down stairs (even ones that are an inch) without having to turn my whole body. It used to bother me as a kid after my mom took me to a stupid therapist that pointed it out so much it made me feel like a freak but as an adult I realise I could just give the social finger to anyone who looked at me weird...

Yes yes i used to have this problem... i remember specifically in my first years at school no matter how hard i concentrated my Capital "E" was to abstract for anyone to recognize... and through high school i would have a different font or style for every page... it wasn't intentional but its funny to read back to myself look at my old notes...

My Aspie husband still hates handwriting. It was really difficult for him. Our Aspie daughter has improved a lot through therapy, but it is still hard for her. One of the specialist we visited before she was diagnosed with AS said her eye-hand coordination is 2 years behind her peers. She almost never finishes copying from the whiteboard on time, and usually finishes last when taking written tests, but she's being improving. She's being working on her calligraphy now and she's very proud because her handwriting is more clear and beautiful.

My handwriting is terrible. I also can't tie my shoes the "normal" way (the rabbit goes around a tree...) and use the "2 loops" way. And forget about tying a tie.

I could never tie my shoes at all until high school and still can't tie them the "normal" way. I get around it by wearing sandles and shoes that I can just slip my feet in and out of.

My handwriting is pretty terrible, but other then that I don't have any fine motor control issues. I don't know if it's because I never really write so I'm out of practice, or if there is something else is at play.
