Does the tv ever bother you? Not by any high pitch sounds but by how it looks. The tv never looks totally straight. I am just wondring if I am the only one.

The TV bothers me because of what it shows. Seriously, 99% of TV shows are f*****g garbage, even the ones that people tell me are great.

the older tv's do; slightly. the newer ones are all flat screens, LCD, LED or whatever; so the image distortion is minimal.

something that is worse then that though; is for CRTs in the corner of my eyes; i then start to really see the half-speed refresh rate, which is really annoying; the only option is to look straight at it or completely away...

I only watch TV once in a blue moon. I "watch" TV shows I like on You Tube all the time but I really just listen to it and glance up at it once in a while as I draw or something.

Flats or conventional bulky CRTs?

Not the look, but the sound bothers me. I can't stand it...
Of course, it doesn't help that there are four other people in my family and they really like TV.
If I want to watch a movie or show or something, I do so on the computer with headphones. It's difficult to concentrate on the television when there's other extraneous noises and sights; plus, I like having control over what I watch and when I watch it, and I'm lucky to be living now so that can (for the most part) happen.

I've stopped watching TV in 2006. The only time I watch TV is when there's a special sporting event on.

I canceled my cable tv subscription a few months ago. Before that I rarely watched tv, mainly news and natural-science programs. Now I either watch something that comes from the internet (TV shows, movies) or I do it somewhere else with someone, altogether not much.

I have trouble watching tv because it makes the inside of my head feel "sick." I grew up without tv in the home, and only got cable tv at the request of an ex-boyfriend (because my apartment was too boring).
I don't watch tv now, there are few shows that I even enjoy. The sound of the commercials makes me panic, because there are so many of them. The vibrations that televisions emit, while they are on, makes my head hurt.

I can't stand the picture quality on flat display sets (plasma or LED/LCD). I don't care for the later model CRTs either. I have a 1972 Zenith color TV with a 25" black CRT, and that one has a very pleasing picture with deep contrast and deep color, which you cannot get on newer type TVs. I don't watch any TV, except for having local news on in the background while I eat breakfast. My wife has several shows she likes to see regularly, and occasionally I'll watch with her and enjoy the show. But I just don't have any drive to seek a TV show to watch. I did when I was little, but not since about age 15. Ironically, I was a TV repairman for 20 years, and I collect vintage TV sets, of which I own a few hundred!

If it's a recent phenomenon you may want to seek the advice of a medical professional.

Nope been around for awhile. Nothing real wrong. I just have to work much harder than most people to watch tv and use certain monitors.

Of course. It's the worst when I'm trying to watch TV in bed and I have to get up and move the TV so it's juuust right, and I end up accidentally removing wires from it that get lost in the dark. :x
