Yes, I think so.
Happiness is turned on like a switch when it comes to the special interest.
While I am interested in many things, and can derive a good deal of pleasure and happiness from them, being immersed in my special interest is a categorically different experience.
My true interest is, of course, all things plants. I get little glimpses of the true happiness every time I come across something having to do with plants. But...
Put me in the garden or in the forest, and I begin to feel an overwhelming sense of joy and peace and all-is-right-with-the-world.
I am energized, talkative, generous, curious, creative, friendly, loving... HAPPY
There is nothing else in my life that compares to this.
I love gardening too, I have a nice garden with a few roses, camelias and the other day I bought a Rhodedendrom I put it in a pot out the back I hope it works as they are beautiful when they flower.
