Most people with AS HATE sports, it seems like. They find the rules confusing, I don't find the rules confusing so much, I just hate competition. It makes me stressed and anxious. I also feel really bad about myself if am the goalie and get scored on, miss a shot or pass the ball/puck to someone who ends up not scoring. Sports make most people feel good about themselves, most people make new friends because of sports.

Anyone else like me?

No. I'd rather watch them on TV.

I dislike playing sports, but I occasionally like watching them (in real life and on TV.) I usually like baseball, then basketball is usually fine. I like the soccer games during the World Cup.

We hates sports, my precious. We hates them, we does.

Mostly I blame it on my mother's ex overriding whatever I was watching on television to watch his sports programs. Additionally, sports would often go overtime and preempt shows I wanted to watch. I still resent this powerfully.

I did go through a period of trying to like sports, but I had to translate the action into something more interesting to my brain, and that can only go on for so long.

Yeah, I prefer watching sports, I also don't mind kicking a soccer ball around with someone, but I don't actually enjoy playing competitive soccer. Hockey and soccer are probably my two favourite sports to watch.

I hate sports when it comes to competitions/groups.

I have been excercising in the gym for like 3 years or even more and it was cool, haha. It's been time since I was at the gym tho since I started my new job.

Sports just aren't interesting to me.

It depends on the type of sport. I believe that the aspie mentality is perfect for endurance sports because they require a strong will and alot of repetition and you only need to have rudimentary coordination. This also explains why I came across several people on WP who do endurance sports. There are definitely alot of runners here, and I met one guy here who is an olympic rower. I myself do collegiate cycling and I try to squeeze in a marathon and a triathlon every year. This year I'm doing the Chicago triathlon and the NYC marathon.

However, anything involving a good working memory, complex coordination, interpreting teammates' intentions, and the ability to think fast in noisy situations is probably not going to be very compatible with the typical aspie. At least in endurance sports there's not alot of immediate thinking that needs to happen.

I enjoy dribbling and shooting a basketball for a pass time and exercise, but the idea of competitive play with people waving arms in my face has no appeal at all.

I have no interest in physical participation, but like watching on television(it's mostly football- if its a Arsenal or Barcelona match and horse racing).
With the exception of these 2 sports, other sports do not have me interested.

I think I could have enjoyed sports, could have been good at them, and would have a stronger body, if I hadn't hated the coaches and hadn't always gotten picked last for teams. I think the coaches hated me first, actually, but I don't feel certain about that. They always taught history, and taught it badly, and I also thought I hated history for the longest time. Of course, sports in Texas means fooball, so I probably spared myself lots of knee and spine damage and possibly brain damage.

I hated them until I was an adult. Somewhere along the line, most of my clumsiness evaporated, and I found I was pretty good at certain things. I still don't care for team sports. But individual things like surfing and marshal arts are fine.

That, or a watergun fight on a 95-degree day. I have yet to try playing paintball, but I want to.
