hi there,

does anyone know some good books, blogs, etc about where to put the money in order to save it for the future?

I think most aspies are not good in finance stuff, of course there might be exceptions. I myself have also only little clue about how to invest money. The world is very complex for me, and I have all kinds of problems, but this debt crisis makes me really worry. I am not sure if the money I earned hard will diminish because of all those debts and there are so many opinions.

Some say to invest in gold, some to buy a flat, I don't know.... maybe someone has an can give some interesting readings. I would trust the opinion of an aspie more than of someone else ;-)

thanks
anton

The Money Advice and Budgeting Service (or similar in your country) is a free, independent advisory service for managing bills, debts and similar financial problems - http://www.mabs.ie/

The Motley Fool and the books that go with the website provide easy to understand guidance on investing - http://www.fool.com and http://www.fool.co.uk

Nasdaq and other financial websites have stock screeners like http://www.nasdaq.com/reference/StockScreener.stm and pre-defined investment screeners like guru screener http://www.nasdaq.com/reference/guru.stm for picking stocks.

If you have savings / investments, then investing all of it in one form (apart from your own home, or your own company) is not a good idea. Gold might perform well, but it is safer to divide the investment between two or more forms that have long-term growth - really boring blue-chip companies, for instance.
