I feel really nervous and really apprehensive about going anywhere even though I need groceries.

I hate really bad under eye bags and my eyes are bloodshot red from staying up late last night.

Im afraid I look really disturbed, and at best depressed. I really look like s**t right now. Maybe its because thats how I really feel.

I m finding it really hard to leave knowing I will have to sow on a gloomy flat expression the whole time, and I know I will get the checkout anxiety as I am waiting for the clerk to bring up my items it takes forever and my heart starts racing.....

I haven't left my house at all this weekend, and this is what happens............

The other day I needed groceries and couldn't find my shoes.
I finally realized that I hadn't used them since the last time I went to get groceries (4 days earlier)
I soon found them in the kitchen. Next to my wallet and keys.

Dunno if this will help, but you should check to see if your store has self check out stands. I use those and they are about the only way I can go shopping most of the time.

Yeah the only problem is I like to buy beer, and you can't check those there. Oh well today I will ditch the beer. I hate the anxiety of waiting in a checkout line

Besides that i hate walking around feeling kind of paranoid that other people are looking at me as they can all think im some disturbed psycho or some depressed loser.

I've tried those self checkout lines - the machines always confuse me and usually glitch and I need to explain myself to the "supervisor" because something went wrong and the machine is beeping at me and wont proceed or retreat and to be honest, I have about as much love fo rthose things as I do for the laundry soap isle (I have hyper smell) ... I stay as far away as possible and often feel the urge to put up my hands and ward the evil away!
:help:

Put rock in shoe.
Rock bigger pain in the ... foot ... than the people :P

Actually, I'm lucky - we have grocery stores (and pharmacies with groceries) open 8am to midnight real close to my place and a few 24 hour grocery stores and 24 hour WallMarts with groceries here and there in the city. Night time shopping FTW!

I know exactly how you feel... i know some people might say some cliché self help quotes, but the best thing to do is drink something strong, put on a bad-ass song on your earphones and face the world...

I know exactly what it feels like when you're trying to get presentable and you look in the mirror but you feel you look like crap. Especially if you care about your appearance, which I do. I never go out in public wearing sweats, ect.. What usually helps me is that I bring my iPod ect., and I don't talk much with the clerks or anything. I segregate myself off into my own little world and just focus on getting whatever buisiness I need at the store done and it helps me forget about how I look.

It also helps that I never talk or make eye contact with the clerk...

I use mine to block out noise. I also keep my eyes down when I'm at the register.

I used to hate going grocery shopping until I learned to use the self checkout. I don't mind it now.

I have those blue bags under my eyes, and I get a good night's sleep every night! I must start putting foundation on.
