I have already had glasses up until now, but light was really intense when I wore them. Unless it was overcast outside, I never wore them. This time I'm trying bi-focals (I think that's how its spelled?). Also can't wear contacts because it makes my eyes feel like they're on fire.

I don't really struggle but sometimes they make the part of my skin itch where the medal touches. So I have the medal over my hair. Also when the lens get dirty, sometimes I see spots or some blur.

I was born with perfect vision. When I was 11, I found out that I was basically half blind when I went to take an eye test. I got glasses, but I chose not to wear them. I was already made fun of enough, I didn't want to be teased for anything else.

Just last year I had to get yet another pair of glasses so that I can drive (I'm near-sighted). Even now, that's the only time I wear them.

Same happened to me. I wouldn't wear glasses for the same reasons as you. I eventually started to wear them at school when I was about 16 as I couldn't manage any more, although I'd needed them all through secondary school (from 11). They don't bother me in the slightest now and I've never been made fun of for wearing them. I'm very short sighted and need them at all times.
