I recently started an informal, online Sufi "order" for Autists. I am not a Muslim, so it is a non-Islamic order (or path).

This is the main page:

www.neurelitism.com

Here is the meditation practice:

I would appreciate comments (good or bad). I have a thick skin. :D

How about engaging in special interests and talking about them? :D

It is an online activity, but I briefly mention whirling (as one possibility) on the meditation page:

What has happened with me is that the meditation has become a special interest. I am not the same person as I was a year ago, and I am 55 years old.

I like Sufi poetry and its softness resonates with me. I'm reading Kahlil Gibran at the moment

To me Sufism means community, shared food, and hippie sensibilities. Or a hermetic existence.

I scrolled around a your site a bit, plenty of information and good links, I like it.

I had a good friend, Ruhiyyih McComb who knew Gibran. lol She has been dead for about 20 years or so. She said that he was a very quiet man.

I like the heart focused path described. I hate to admit it, but this is the first time I've come across a simple explination of Sufi meditation. It's usually so entrenched in religion it's near impossible to sort out the actual technique.

All the eastern chakra stuff never worked that well with me. This, from what I see, I like a lot better.

Thank you. For me. I never had empathy or a heart. I learned, over the years, how to fake it, but inside, I really couldn't care less about anyone. I didn't even mourn my own parents' deaths.

This last year has been very unusual for me.
