I have a memory as a small child at nursery or somesuch, of feeling this strange sense of comfort from words like 'Cat' and I would repeat them in my head, and somehow the sound just felt so nice. I find that when I see the word 'cat' now, it can sometimes trigger that memory and that same feeling.

I have quite recall of the posters with pictures and the basic words, around the room, yet no recall of any of the humans.

Anyone else get a sense of comfort from certain words?

I'll meow excessively at my cat sometimes, it gives me a sense of "cuteness" if that makes any sense.

YES!

I created a language when I was in my teens and now, whenever I'm really stressed, I noticed I start speaking in it - really calms me down :D

This is not form my memory, I don't remember, but my parents told me later that my twin sister and I developed a certain "twin-language" in our early childhood that they could not understand. My father mentioned that I had a word that I repeated over and over, it supposedly soothed or comforted me, as it didn't have any meaning, "koy-koy".
