Here are some of my favorites:

Temple Grandin: what a great woman!

Stephen Wilthshire: a fomidable English artist who makes the most amazing and detailed drawings just from memory.

John Robison: for inspiring a lot of people in a positive way.

Rudy Simone: for writing a couple of very informative and helpful books

and Alex ofcourse: for giving us this professional, informative and entertaining website at such a young age.

Amanda Baggs. Always has been, always will be. Likewise, many people from the old AutAdvo group will always have my ear. Jane Meyerding. Larry Arnold. Camille Clark. Tony & Ralph. Kassiane. So many others. Oh, and I would appreciate any news about Denise DeGraff -- lost track of her years ago, but never knew why.

Ari Ne'eman, of course, for ASAN, even if the political end of things makes me squeamish. His 2009 NFB disability law symposium keynote address was beyond brilliant.

Jim Sinclair, for his trailblazing essays, and for ANI & Autreat.

Dawn Prince-Hughes, for her books.

Michelle Dawson, inevitably, though I do wish she would take off the flak-jacket once in a while.

Oh, and Cal Montgomery, for her astounding essays at Ragged Edge Magazine Online. Read ALL of them, people.

That's all I've got for right now.

Mmmm, interesting!
I have never heard of these people, probably because I live in a different part of the world. I'm definitely going to Google them and find out more.

I think it's a good thing that you guys are so appreciative of yourselves and I hope for your sake that you mean it. But who's your favorite (or favorites) besides yourself?

Myself. I know of other autistics, but have never really met them. I don't know if I would really like them in person! So for now, myself.

My favorite Aspie is Dr. Michael Burry. Researching his story led me to WP. :)

I really don't like me, but I have to say me because I don't know any other autistic people well enough yet.

I don't understand how I could favor someone other than myself, to be honest. I mean this in an extremely serious way.
