I would like confirmation after being shuffled around and no official word on it other than
"You will have to see this doctor next month"

It seems that they are trying to (rather forcefully) remove my symptoms rather than diagnose me. Do they do that often?
My mother also thinks I have a disease that needs to be treated and told them to remove it.

Two of my psychologists (my diagnostician, and my regular counsellor) have both said that autism is permanent, but that therapy can help me learn certain things that may help me become a bit more independent. I didn't find they were trying to cure me at all, but I am sure it probably happens with many.

I was told there was no point to a diagnosis as there isn't a cure.... that I was better of being diagnosed with an anxiety disorder or something they could fix.

Autism isn;t something to be cured... but you can learn new adaptive skills if you're willing to put in the work. Personally I find this easier to do on my own than with so call professionals who frustrate me with their personal judgements and agendas.
